“Starless Dreams” wins honorable mention at Polish festival

TEHRAN – A special mention was given to Iranian documentary “Starless Dreams” at the 4th Kino w Trampkach [Cinema in Sneakers] Film Festival for Children and Youth held in Warsaw, Poland from June 1 to 12.

The doc by Mehrdad Oskui was competing in the Youth Feature Films Competition category, where the best award was given to Mikhail Mestetskiy for his film “Rag Union” from Russia by a team of children jury members, organizers have announced on the website.

“Starless Dreams” has won awards at several international events. In the documentary, young women in an Iranian juvenile detention center reflect on the crimes they have committed and the harsh circumstances that have shaped their lives.
